There are times where you are in a hurry and press Send to a message too early in Outlook only to find out that you want to modify something. Well, there is a solution for that by using the Rules and Alerts in Outlook. One solution is to delay delivery of the messages by one minute. This then allows you go go back and edit the message if necessary. 

The Solution to Modify Messages After Pressing Send

Here is the process to configure the message delay in Outlook:

1.  Click on File while in Outlook
2. Click on Rules and Alerts
3. Click on New Rule
4. Select Apply Rule on Messages I send
5. Press Next
6. Yes
7. Select Defer delivery by number of minutes
8. Set number of minutes: 1,
9. Press Next, Next, & Finish.
