Students can join a lesson, teachers can get real-time feedback, and administrators can access thousands of resources and integrations. This page contains the complete video on Using Nearpod for Teachers along a Quick Guide to get you started.\u00a0<\/p><h2><span style=\"font-size: 21px;\">Quick Guide on Using Nearpod<\/span><\/h2><h3>ACTIVATING YOUR FLIPGRID ACCOUNT<\/h3><ol><li>Go to https:\/\/nearpod.com and click on Signup for Free<\/li><li>Select <strong>Google<\/strong> or Microsoft Account and follow the prompts.<\/li><\/ol><h3>GENERAL OVERVIEW<\/h3><p>LEFT PANEL<\/p><ul><li><strong>My Materials section<\/strong>: Includes your lessons, profile settings, and reports.<\/li><li><strong>Shared Libraries<\/strong>: School Library. Lists the lessons shared within your school among the teachers.<\/li><li><strong>Nearpod Content<\/strong>: Nearpod Library. Lists a variety of lessons searchable by grade, type, content, publisher and includes premium content options.<\/li><li><strong>Teacher Resources<\/strong>: Guides and resources for teachers on how to use NearPod.<\/li><\/ul><p>Top Panel:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Join a Lesson:<\/strong> Enter a lesson code to join it.<\/li><li><strong>Search<\/strong>: Search your lessons or all the libraries.<\/li><li><strong>Create<\/strong>: Lessons, videos by combining them, activities, Google Slides lessons.<\/li><li><strong>Quick Launch<\/strong>: Launch activities without slides or lessons and use open ended questions, draw and share it with your students.<\/li><li><strong>Account Settings<\/strong>:<\/li><\/ul><ol><li>Lesson settings:<ol><li>Autofill student names<\/li><li>Immersive reader: Enables text-to-speech.<\/li><li>Require student responses and prevent skipping.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol><h3><strong>USING EXISTING LESSONS<\/strong><\/h3><ol><li>Click on <strong>Nearpod Library<\/strong> option on the left.<\/li><li>Search by <strong>grade<\/strong>, <strong>subject<\/strong>, <strong>content type<\/strong> or <strong>publisher<\/strong>, etc.<\/li><li>g. <strong>Subjects<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Science and Technology<\/strong> &gt; AI in Schools<\/li><li>Preview the lesson. If you like it, click on <strong>Add to my Lessons.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Edit the lesson<\/strong> as necessary, making it yours.<\/li><\/ol><h3><strong>MODIFYING LESSONS<\/strong><\/h3><ol><li>Imported lessons will show up under My Lessons.<\/li><li>To preview the lesson, <strong>hold the mouse on the lesson<\/strong> and click on \u201c<strong>Preview Lesson<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li><li>To modify the lesson, click on <strong>Edit<\/strong> and make the changes.<\/li><\/ol><h3><strong>PRESENTING LESSONS<\/strong><\/h3><ol><li><strong>Locate your lesson<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Click on <strong>Teach<\/strong> after hovering the mouse on the lesson.<\/li><li>Select <strong>Live Participation<\/strong> or Student-Paced.<\/li><li>Send the link to the students via email, SMS, Google Classroom or Teams.<\/li><li>Students go to <a href=\"http:\/\/join.nearpod.com\">http:\/\/join.nearpod.com<\/a> and enter the code.<\/li><li>Students sign with Google, Microsoft etc.<\/li><li><strong>Advance the slides using the controls<\/strong> on the left and right of your lesson as the instructor and the content will advance on all participants\u2019 displays.<\/li><li>Note that for feedback questions, there is also a student view on the top right to view student responses live.<\/li><li>Note the tools on the bottom bar when presenting your lesson such as the preview of the lesson components, participants.<\/li><li>To end the lesson, click on <strong>Menu<\/strong> on the top left and select <strong>End Session<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol><h3><strong>LESSON REPORTS<\/strong><\/h3><p>View detailed reports of student engagement and activity from your users&#8217; Nearpod sessions.<\/p><ol><li>Click on <strong>Reports<\/strong> on the left panel.<\/li><li><strong>Click on the Lesson<\/strong> and select a particular session.<\/li><li>Navigate through the subtabs such as <strong>Summary<\/strong>, <strong>Activity Reports<\/strong> and <strong>Student Reports<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Note the options on the top right where you can Download and Email reports.<\/li><\/ol><h3><strong>CREATING NEW LESSONS FROM SCRATCH<\/strong><\/h3><ol><li>Click on <strong>Create<\/strong> and select one of the types of activities such as Lesson.<\/li><li>Click <strong>Add Content<\/strong> and <strong>Activities<\/strong><\/li><li>Select the type of activity noting the description and directions on the right panel.<\/li><\/ol><p>Here is also the <a href=\"https:\/\/kaceli.com\/a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/using-nearpod.pdf\"><strong>Quick Guide in PDF format<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Interested in learning more about educational technology tools?
